Hey, I’m Sami. A mom, business owner, gamer, book lover, and a woman in her forties discovering how much life she still wants to live. I have a sarcastic mouth, a soft heart, and a habit of turning a simple story into a whole conversation. Give me good music, honest company, a little adventure, or a quiet night with a book, and I’m pretty happy.
For a long time, my life revolved around what needed to be done and who needed me. Somewhere in all that responsibility, parts of me got quiet. Now I’m getting curious about them again. What do I like? What do I want? What makes my home feel like mine? What happens when I stop saving the things I want to do for some imaginary better time?
Some days, that looks like making big decisions and finding the courage to start over. Other days, it’s a pedicure, painting my house, looking at cowgirl boots, or laughing with my daughter. I’m learning that a life can change through the little choices, too. And yes, sometimes choosing myself still comes with overthinking and a few choice words.
Sami Unscripted is where I get to share all of it. Motherhood, relationships, things I’m learning, places I’m going, memories that stay with me, and everyday moments that deserve a story. There’s room here for the hard conversations and the ridiculous ones. I want to be able to write about something that broke my heart and come back tomorrow with something that made me laugh.
I don’t know everything this life will become. I just know I want to be present for it, make more memories, and have stories to tell that begin with, “Okay, so you’re not going to believe this.”
