Hey, I’m Sami. Welcome to my unscripted life.
I’m a mom, a creative soul, a businesswoman, and a slightly smart mouthed woman in her mid forties who is finally making room for herself in her own life. I love a good book, deep conversations, 90s music, gaming, cooking, and people who can make me laugh until I forget what I was stressed about. I can handle business, get emotionally attached to fictional characters, and turn a simple story into a conversation with twelve side quests. There’s range here.
For a long time, I knew myself mostly through what I did for other people. I was the wife, the mother, the one keeping things moving and figuring out what came next. I put so much energy into being needed that I stopped asking what I needed. Somewhere in all that responsibility, my own wants became things I would get around to eventually.
After years in a marriage that left me feeling lonely, separation and divorce brought questions I could no longer put off. What do I actually enjoy? What do I want my home to feel like? What kind of love am I willing to accept? And who am I when I give myself permission to make those decisions?
Sami Unscripted is where I get to explore the answers.
This is where I share starting over, motherhood, dating, self worth, changing directions, and learning to trust myself. It’s also where I make room for the everyday things: a book I couldn’t put down, an adventure worth taking, making my house feel like me, or deciding that a pedicure and a little peace deserve a spot on the calendar.
I’m affectionate, sarcastic, curious, and occasionally a little too good at overthinking. I love deeply. I’m learning boundaries. I still have days when confidence comes easily and days when getting out of my own head takes some work. I can be proud of how far I’ve come and still be sad about what it took to get here.
I’ll share honestly while keeping some parts of my life private. The people I love have their own stories, and some experiences need time before they become words on a page. What you’ll find here is my perspective, my sense of humor, and whatever I’m learning along the way.
And this space gets to grow with me. There will be room for healing, but also happiness. New love, new interests, ordinary Saturdays, unexpected adventures, and stories I haven’t lived yet. I want a full life, and I want this blog to have room for all of it.
If you’re figuring yourself out again, starting something you thought it was too late to start, or simply looking for someone who will tell the truth and occasionally say “what the actual hell,” I think we’ll get along.
I’m Sami. I don’t have the whole story figured out, but I’m finally giving myself a say in what happens next.
